What's On Thursday 24th - Thursday 31st January
We’ve battled the dry days, the blue Mondays, and the in-between-days, and now February is in sight. Just one more week and spring will feel that little bit closer (I spotted snowdrops this week, by the way!). But despite the weather, there are some great things happening in and around Winch over the next week – so you don’t have to stay hibernating if you’re ready to face the world.
You’re Dead, Mate
Teddy Morris and The Discarded Nut Theatre Company will be at The Nutshell this Friday and Saturday for Teddy’s play ‘You’re Dead, Mate’. Having already seen Teddy perform in Noël Jones and Doug Revolta’s adaptations of Frankenstein and as Hamlet in ‘Hamlet, Prince of Denmark’, you’ll be in for a treat. Tickets are £9 (+ fees) | Ages 14+ | 25th & 26th Jan 2019 | 7.30pm | Contains strong language and adult humour.
The Roxbury – Grand Opening
A brand new destination in town has its official launch this Friday night. The Roxbury (148 High Street) will be hosting a night of live music, street food, drinks promos, and DJ sets from Amy Lauren and Freedom. So if you fancy sampling something new then make sure you head to The Roxbury.
Bump and Boo
A one-stop shop for parents and parents-to-be, Bump and Boo will be at The Guildhall this Sunday to showcase all the amazing independent mama and baby businesses.
From local baby classes and support groups to kids clothing companies, photographers, bespoke family keepsakes and so much more. Dr Lin Day, one of the UK’s leading parenting experts and a renowned author within the field of childcare and education, will be opening the day and around to answer any questions you may have.
Set your intentions
If you’d like to set some intentions for the new year and get stuck into a little mindfulness practice then Thrive Cafe & Wellbeing have a gorgeous evening next Tuesday 29th from 7pm-8pm. A chance to delve a little deeper and focus on what you’d like to achieve this year, what you’d like to try, or how to manifest in 2019.
And, if you head to any of these events then do let us know what you thought!
